Readers, you should likely proceed with caution, as this book is hazardous to your e-reader. Why, you ask? Simple, I dropped mine—twice—because I was laughing so hard. The second time may or may not have also involved gasping for breath and tears rolling down my face. Consider yourself warned. :)Our hero, Owen is quite charismatic, if a tad closed off. In contrast, our heroine, Lindy is sweet, goofy, and totally open-hearted. The book is near equal parts mystery, comedy, and romance; while both the main characters and the storyline are well fleshed out. I found it was almost too easy to get sidetracked by the intriguing plot and H/h’s amusing banter, thus allowing the love story to really sneak up on me.All in all, the story is highly entertaining, and I am definitely adding the next book in the series to my to-be-read list. Novella length. The beginning of the story had me a little confused. I signed up for a novella length romantic contemporary fiction with maybe a side of suspense. The book starts out, however, like a Rom Com. Then after the opening scene it goes back to what I had originally expected. I think the author set out to show us that the female MC is a lovable, sweet, and quirky girl but she needed to have a lighter touch. The problem I foresee is that when people download a sample it won't accurately portray what the story eventually turns out to be.As for the story itself it isn't anything unique. It was a quick read that was easy to get into but also finish.
