This series is becoming tedious. The heroine has developed a "hero" complex. She thinks she alone can solve all problems and save everybody. She doesn't confide in her friends and ask for help even if they themselves are in danger. (If Harry Potter had her attitude there would still be 5 horcruxes left.) She doen't feel laws apply to her. She only ever accepts help from handsome guys. Unfortunately they end up nearly letting her die in the basement while they fight over her 2 floors above so perhaps she shouldn't really depend on them. Her familiar is the best help, when he is in the mood. Her growing arrogance, incompetence, sercretiveness and busybody ways make this series less and less palatable. And the romantic aspects of this series are unreliable and unsatisfying. Ivy and her friends attend a enormous craft show at the COW PALACE in this paranormal cozy mystery. This is first large fair Ivy has visited. The group splits up and agree to meet in an hour. Ivy talks with a vendor from Germany about opals and other jewellery. The merchant sales Ivy a box of paste gems and opal necklace. As she exploring security men are chasing Oscar, her potbellied pig, through the area. Before Oscar is captured small fires break out and Ivy finds the vendor has been pressed. Ivy is brought the police station to be question and see her father there. Ivy must find out who causing the fires around the area. Is a demon or a powerful witch in order to save Heracles and love one's.
The characters are lovable! I would love to climb into this series and live there... happiness!
