"Really liked it."Sigh I haven't been reviewing the books in this series well so here's a short review to compliment the others:Amazing ending and beginning bookended by TERRIBLE MIDDLE PART. Nico is a fantastic character and everyone else also owns but Josef ruins these books. The climax and the ending were just perfect and I'm sad the books apparently go downhill from here. Not going right to 4, reading something else first! I agree with another reviewer when it comes to the cover of this book. Don't let it fool you into thinking it is a bodice-ripper. That couldn't be further from the truth. I have no idea what that cover is supposed to represent but I will tell you that this book is full of more of what made Books #1 and #2 in the series so enjoyable - a witty rascal of a thief, a strong, stoical warrior who is loyal to a fault, political posturing, fine side characters who slide in and out of the storyline and an unexpected allegorical twist. Indeed, there were several twists thrown into this storyline that delighted me. I had thought it was the end of the series and was quite happy to discover that my walk with Eli and friends was not yet at an end. If you enjoy fantasy with wit, style, and depth, do yourself a favor and read this series.
What do You think about The Spirit Eater (2010)?
A non-stop run of action. I don't know how I put this book down to eat or sleep. Great read.
